Review criteria
Last update
Whenever applicable, content should state the publication date or last editorial update so readers can assess how current the information is.
Technical review
Technical review is not assumed. When performed, the reviewer and scope of review must be identified. Without this information, the content should be understood as editorial curation and science communication.
Conflicts of interest
Whenever available, we consider funding declarations and conflicts of interest from the sources consulted. No source is treated as automatically impartial.
Minimum transparency standard
What important content should show
Last review
Date of the last review or editorial update.
References
Sources used, identified in a verifiable way whenever possible.
Technical review
Name and identification of the reviewer only when review has actually occurred.
Content level
Primary audience/language level: family, student, professional or general.
In structured records in the Research and Science area, the Project seeks to distinguish authorship of the original publication, synthesis/findings, limitations, editorial curation and technical review. Older content may be gradually updated to this standard. The absence of an identified reviewer means professional technical review should not be assumed.
Editorial process
Steps used for new content and significant updates.
Identify the source
Record authorship, publication venue, date and original publication link whenever available.
Assess publication type
Distinguish original studies, reviews, guidelines, preprints, institutional documents and other sources.
Produce the summary
Adapt information into accessible language without presenting an editorial summary as an independent clinical conclusion.
Update and correct
Review links, references and claims when errors are identified or relevant newer evidence emerges.
Editorial curation is not technical review
Editorial curation means selecting, organizing, summarizing and adapting information from identified sources into accessible language.
Technical review means evaluation of content by a qualified professional in the relevant field. When technical review occurs, the reviewer will be named in the content.
Authorship identifies who produced the Project’s original text. Authorship of a summary should not be confused with authorship of the research or publication used as a source.
The Project avoids attributing technical review, professional authorship, partnership or institutional validation when these steps have not been documented.
Institutional notice
Content provided by Projeto Acolher TEA is educational and informational and does not replace assessment, diagnosis or follow-up by qualified professionals.
The guidance presented here does not constitute diagnosis, treatment prescription or a substitute for consultation with qualified health professionals.
