Privacy Policy (LGPD)

Last updated: August 22, 2026

1. Introduction

Projeto Acolher TEA (“we”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of everyone who accesses our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information, in accordance with the principles and rights established by Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, LGPD).

2. Data we collect

When you use our platform, we may collect:

  • Registration data: name and email provided when creating or using an account. Credentials and authentication are managed by the platform’s technology infrastructure.
  • Usage and analytics data: navigation signals and metrics provided by the platform’s analytics tools, which may include pages accessed, source/referrer, clicks, searches, viewed content and other usage events.
  • Community: posts and comments you choose to publish. This content is visible to other authenticated Community users according to the rules of the space.
  • Collaboration forms: name, email, institution, area of interest and message voluntarily submitted for proposal review.
  • Contact the Project: message type, submitted text and, when provided, name, email, phone number, preferred response method and source page. This channel does not request Brazilian CPF numbers, medical reports, medical records or detailed clinical information.
  • Companies for Neuroinclusion: professional and organizational data voluntarily provided, such as company name, contact person, email, phone, CNPJ when provided, workforce size, current practices and interests related to the initiative.
  • School interest: institution name, type of school, contact person, position, email, phone, city, approximate number of professionals, topics of interest and a message about training needs.
  • Partner professional pre-registration: name, contact details, city, education, area of practice, professional registration when applicable, ABA training or experience, experience with autistic people, populations served, availability and additional information voluntarily provided.
  • Storage and session resources: used by the infrastructure for authentication, security, preferences and platform operation.
  • Acolher AI Guide: when you send a question to the Guide, the text is processed temporarily to produce a response and locate content in the collection. The Project does not retain the full conversation text as history in the insights database. For security, usage control and editorial improvement, the selected profile, general topic, source page, search result and feedback may be recorded. A random identifier is stored in the browser and may be combined on the server with technical request signals to generate a daily hashed key; the Guide’s administrative entities do not store the raw IP address or the full text of the question.

The Project does not request medical reports, medical records or health data for Community participation. Users should avoid publishing sensitive data, detailed medical information or identifiable information about children. If such data is voluntarily entered into free-text fields, it may be processed by the platform until it is removed or moderated.

3. Purposes of processing

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • Provide access to platform content and features.
  • Maintain account features, saved content and Community participation.
  • Review and respond to proposals submitted through collaboration forms.
  • Receive feedback, suggestions and contact requests submitted through the Contact the Project channel.
  • Review expressions of interest from companies in the Companies for Neuroinclusion initiative and make contact exclusively for that purpose.
  • Map needs from schools interested in future lectures, training and professional development and make institutional contact related to that area.
  • Organize expressions of interest from professionals for a future partner network, without registration representing accreditation, referral, employment or a guarantee of referrals.
  • Maintain platform security and reduce misuse.
  • Operate Acolher AI Guide, locate relevant content, control daily usage and identify in aggregate which topics need new materials or improvements.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Data storage

Data necessary for platform operation is processed and stored by technology providers used by Projeto Acolher TEA. We seek to retain data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or to comply with applicable obligations, subject to the conditions and capabilities of the contracted infrastructure.

5. Who has access

Access depends on the type of information:

  • Your account data and personal items: are used for features associated with your user account.
  • Community posts and comments: are visible to authenticated users. Posts marked as anonymous hide identification in the interface but should not be used to share sensitive data or identify third parties.
  • Collaboration proposals, school interests, professional pre-registrations and Contact the Project messages: are configured to be readable only by Project administrators.
  • Administrative team: may access data when necessary for administration, moderation, support and security. In the Acolher Guide dashboard, the intended view is aggregated indicators of profile, topic, result and feedback, without displaying the full history of questions.
  • Technology providers: process data as necessary for hosting, authentication, databases, analytics and other technical resources used by the platform.

6. No sale of personal data

Projeto Acolher TEA does not aim to sell or rent users’ personal data and does not use the Community for its own behavioral advertising. Processing by technology providers and occasional sharing may occur when necessary for platform operation, due to legal obligations or under another applicable legal basis.

  • With technology providers necessary for platform operation.
  • To comply with a court order, legal obligation or legitimate request from a competent authority.
  • When there is consent or another legal basis applicable to processing.

7. Your rights under the LGPD

Under the LGPD, you have the following rights:

  • Confirm whether your data is being processed.
  • Access your stored personal data.
  • Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Request deletion of your data, except where retention is legally required.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Request data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the email below.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and storage resources essential to platform operation, such as authentication, security and session preferences. Acolher Guide also uses local storage to maintain a random browser identifier used for usage control. Separately, the platform records usage metrics through Base44 Analytics to understand navigation and improve content and features.

We do not use behavioral advertising on the website. Information about analytics and storage technologies is reviewed periodically to keep this policy aligned with the platform’s actual operation.

9. Security

We adopt technical and organizational measures appropriate to the platform’s operation to reduce risks of unauthorized access, loss, alteration or misuse of data. Specific infrastructure guarantees also depend on the controls and documentation of the technology providers used.
