Connecting research, universities and society
This area organizes opportunities to connect with researchers, students, faculty, universities and other academic institutions.
Proposals may involve research, outreach, events, educational materials or science communication, always respecting institutional, ethical and professional responsibilities.
Notice: The Project may collaborate in science communication, outreach and institutional connections. Research involving human participants must remain under the responsibility of the appropriate institution and qualified researchers, with ethics review when required.
The presentation of this area does not imply an active partnership, agreement, endorsement or institutional relationship with specific universities. Institutions should only be presented as partners after formal definition and authorization by the parties involved.
Public update on inclusive education
Inclusive Special Education Observatory, Obeduc-EI
CAPES/MEC and Secadi/MEC opened a call for projects to implement a national network of public higher education institutions dedicated to producing indicators, monitoring Brazil’s National Inclusive Special Education Policy and generating evidence to improve it.
This does not create an immediate new individual right for families or students. The expected impact is structural: producing data and research to help assess how school inclusion is being implemented across education systems, including for autistic students.

Acolher Ecosystem
Families, education and science connected responsibly
What we aim to build goes beyond gathering content: we want to create pathways for collaboration among people who live these needs, those who study them, professionals in practice and those who produce knowledge.
Families
They signal real questions and needs without unnecessary exposure of personal data.
Students
They learn and may contribute to supervised academic activities.
Professionals
They help improve language, practice and review when collaboration is documented.
Researchers
They can turn relevant questions into research under institutional responsibility.
Universities
They can bring teaching, research, outreach and science communication closer to society.
Role of Projeto Acolher TEA: facilitate connections, organize needs and translate knowledge into accessible language. The Project does not forward families’ health data for research and does not conduct research with human participants outside the applicable institutional and ethical responsibilities.
