Inclusion depends on what happens every day — not just a support professional
When different professionals better understand autism, communication, sensoriality, regulation and levels of support, the school is able to respond with more predictability, safety and respect to the needs of each student.

Laws and public policies
School inclusion is a right
The National Inclusive Special Education Policy guarantees the right to education in an inclusive system for students with disabilities, ASD and high abilities/giftedness. The policy also reinforces support resources and services, reasonable accommodations and individualized measures for access, retention, participation and learning.
Educational content. The school must consult its education network, local regulations and legal advice when in doubt about specific obligations.
Support network
The school does not have to do everything alone
A well-articulated network can involve family, AEE, pedagogical coordination, support professionals, multidisciplinary team and public services in the territory. Each participant has different responsibilities and communication must respect consent, privacy and professional boundaries.
Your school can also support the Acolher TEA Project
Support can mean opening space for educational actions, disseminating free content, receiving lectures, encouraging team training, collaborating with inclusion projects or building future institutional partnerships. Support for the Project is voluntary and separate from the commercial contracting of training.

Training does not qualify someone for clinical practice
ABA training has an educational purpose and must clearly state its level, audience, objectives and limits. Participating in a Project lecture, workshop or training does not replace a degree, specialization, supervision, practical experience or other professional requirements applicable to each participant’s work.

No promises of cure, guaranteed outcomes or a single method for all autistic people.
Protection of the privacy of students, families and school teams.

Your school can join our map of future activities
